Terms of service

Last updated October 21, 2026

These terms are the agreement between your business and TrueLocal when you buy space on a TrueLocal card. By creating an account or buying an ad, you agree to them.

What you're buying

You're buying a block of squares on a printed postcard that we mail through USPS Every Door Direct Mail to the carrier routes listed for that card. The household count we show for a card comes from USPS route data. We mail one card to each address USPS delivers to on those routes, but we don't control USPS delivery and can't promise a particular result from your ad.

Monthly and one-month ads

A monthly ad keeps the same squares on every card for that city and is charged once a month until you cancel. A one-month ad runs on one card. Cancellation and refunds work as described in our refund policy. We may change prices for new purchases; a running monthly ad keeps its price unless we give you at least 30 days' notice by email.

Your artwork

You're responsible for your ad and confirm you have the right to use everything in it, including logos, photos, fonts and any claims or offers. We review artwork before it prints and may send it back or turn it down, for example if it's illegal, misleading, sexually explicit, hateful, infringes someone else's rights, or won't print clearly. You give us permission to print your artwork on the card and to show the card on our website and in our own marketing.

If your artwork isn't approved by the order deadline, the card prints with your business name in your squares and the purchase still counts.

Deadlines and changes to a card

Each card has an order and artwork deadline and a mail date shown on the site. We can move a card's mail date for printing or postal reasons, or because not enough of the card has sold by its order deadline to print and mail it. Instead of moving a card, we can cancel it, or cancel your purchase on it, and refund what you paid for that card in full. If a card doesn't mail at all, we refund it. Once a card is locked for print, nothing on it changes.

Accounts

Keep your login to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has used it. We can close an account that breaks these terms; if we do, we refund any card that hasn't locked yet.

Limits

If something goes wrong on our side, the most we owe you is what you paid for the card it affected. We aren't responsible for lost profits or other indirect losses. Nothing here limits rights you have under Texas law that can't be limited by agreement.

Changes and questions

We may update these terms and will post the new version here with a new date; changes don't apply to cards already locked. These terms are governed by the laws of Texas. Questions go to admin@truelocalbcs.com or (979) 422-2825, or by mail to 225 Discovery Dr., College Station, TX 77845.
