This page covers the information TrueLocal keeps about the businesses that advertise with us and the people who write to us. The postcards themselves go to "Local Postal Customer": we never receive or keep the names or addresses of the households on a route. USPS delivers to every address on the route without us knowing who lives there.

What we keep

• Your account: email address, business name, contact name and phone number.
• Your ads: which squares you bought, on which cards, and the artwork files you upload.
• Messages you send through the contact form.
• When a business opens a pitch link we sent it: when, on what kind of device, the screens it reached and what it tapped, so we know the link arrived. This stays with us, not with any outside service.
• If we email your business about an ad we made for it: the address we wrote to and when. If you ask us to stop, we keep the address only so we never write to it again.
• Basic server logs, such as the time of a request and the IP address it came from, used to keep the site working and to stop abuse.

We don't keep card numbers. Payments go through Stripe, which handles the card details and sends us only whether a payment worked and a reference to it.

Who else handles it

• Stripe, for payments and receipts.
• Google Firebase, which hosts the site, the sign-in, the database and the uploaded artwork.
• Resend, which sends our emails to you.
• Our printer, which gets your approved artwork to print the card.

We don't sell or rent anyone's information, and we don't run advertising trackers on this site.

Your artwork is public once it prints

Approved artwork goes on the card that mails to every home on the route, and we show the current card on this website. Artwork that hasn't been approved is only visible to you and to us.

Cookies

The site stores a sign-in token in your browser so you stay logged in. We don't use analytics or advertising cookies.

Keeping and deleting it

We keep account and payment records as long as you advertise with us and for as long afterward as tax and accounting rules require. To see what we have or to close your account, email admin@truelocalbcs.com.
